Famous Photographer: Art Wolfe
Could you image traveling the world to do nothing but take pictures? Art Wolfe a famous wildlife and landscape photography took his life in a different direction than most people; he travels from continent to continent taking pictures! I chose to write my paper on Art Wolfe because he interested me the most, one type of photography that has always been my favorite it wildlife photography.
Wolfe was awarded Photography of the year in 1996; in 1998 he was awarded Outstanding Nature Photographer of the Year; and the Alfred Eisenstaedt Magazine Photography Award in April 2000. Art Wolfe hosted his own show called “Safari”. He’s currently been working as a photographer for 30 years and his passion is what dedicates him to his work.
Art was born into a family that had photography in his blood, his father was a Navy-photographer and his mother was a commercial-artist. In the beginning Art Wolfe had always wanted to be a painter, but during his college years he self-taught himself the mechanics of photography.
Art Wolfe is now on the board for the Wildlife Conservation Society, Nature's Best Foundation, and the North American Nature Photographers Association.
